Today, Apple released the public beta of the next version of their web browser, Safari. After using it for a short time today, it does seem a little bit snappier than the older version. It does include some newer features, such a Show Top Sites button, that shows your most viewed sites it a really neat view, show all history shows your history now in a “CoverFlow” view, just like in iTunes. Also, when using tabbed browsing, tabs now appear at the top of the browser, above the menu bar.
I have not had any trouble with it yet, but do remember that this is a beta version of the software and as such, may be buggy and crash a bit more. But, if you feel like gambling, you can download the latest version at www.apple.com/safari. Versions are available for both Leopard and Tiger.
